Payment
Lessons are paid for the whole month. For example, if your lessons fall on a Monday, and there are five Mondays in June, then you will pay for all five at the beginning of the first lesson of June. For half-hour lessons, this is $75; for hour lessons, $125. If you begin your lessons in the middle of the month, you only have to pay for the remainder of the month. In the above example, if you start on the third Monday in June, then you only have to pay for three lessons, also due by your first lesson.

Scheduling Conflicts
If you cannot show up to a lesson, you must contact me via phone or e-mail before 24 hours of your scheduled lesson. At that point, I will suggest a make-up lesson. A make-up lesson can be at another time that same day, or within a couple of days of your scheduled lesson. My personal schedule every week changes, so make-up times are on a week to week basis. A flat-out cancellation will result in either a free lesson the next month (my preferred way) or a refund on the day of the next lesson.
Cancellation within a day of the lesson, or not showing up without warning, is non-refundable. Extreme circumstances may be considered, but not guaranteed.
The same is true from me as well. If I have something come up, I have to give you 24 hours notice as well. Again, I will suggest make-up, or failing that, offering a free lesson the next month or a refund. If I do not give you advance warning (which should never happen, but I have to make policies clear) I will offer both a make-up lesson and a free lesson the next month, or two free lessons the next month (or instead of a free lesson, a refund). Again, this should never happen, but I'm leaving the policy out there.
Tardiness
Sometimes you may be late to a lesson due to unforeseen circumstances. It is a good idea to call to let me know you may be running late, even if you reach voice mail. If the slot after your lesson is empty, I'd be more inclined to compensate for lost time in that slot if you call in advance. However, if there is a student directly after you, I have no choice but to stop the lesson at the designated time. It is only fair to all my other students who show up right on time.
